P & S Timbrell Decorators Ltd have been trading since 1992, when Father and Son Peter and Stephen Timbrell decided to join forces and work together. The roots of the business however date back to the 1960’s, when Peter embarked as a sole trader in the painting and decorating trade, after completing his apprenticeship with a local building company.
Many things may have changed in the intervening fifty years, but decorating remains a skills led craft whereby experience is invaluable. Nowadays P & S Timbrell Decorators Ltd employs four full time decorators, along with Carolyn Timbrell who manages the office.
In Dec 2006 we were awarded a Royal Warrant to HRH The Prince Of Wales in recognition of our high quality service. We have successfully renewed this in January 2011. As part requirement we have undertaken an Environmental Review and Environmental Impact Assessment of our business practices, and we bi-annually review our performance against set criteria and implement any positive initiatives.
As members of the Painting and Decorating Association we have won the National Small Contractors Trophy Award for the past two years. These prestigious accolades were for decorating projects at St Peters Catholic Church in Gloucester (2009), and a large country house refurbishment at Horton Hall near Bristol (2010). Very different jobs but both demonstrated our commitment to customer care, project management skills, and painting and decorating ability.
